BAGS TO BEDS

In the winter months, poor people are unable to keep themselves warm. This compels them to light fires, which leads to a lot of air pollution. This project was born with the aim of solving both problems: keeping the people warm while reducing the pollution.

The 'BAGS TO BEDS' project converts used rice bags into sleeping bags. So far, I have distributed 200 of these sleeping bags to needy people living in the 'Kusum Pahari' slum. I have also received a grant of INR 50,000 from 'Chintan', one of India's largest NGOs, for this project.
